Press Release March 25, 2023 Space Phenomena Observatory Center (SPOC) Appoints Dr. Akira Kurosaki, Renowned in the Fields of Coastal Urban Renewal and Ocean Energy, as Special Advisor Akira Kurosaki Doctor of Engineering (Seismic Engineering) Career summary: Graduated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, completed graduate studies at the University of Tokyo, and worked for a major shipbuilding company. Professor at the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo (Marine Spatial Planning). After The 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake, he was involved in damage assessment, reconstruction assistance, and related research along the Sanriku coastline, and served as a special researcher at the Kamaishi/Otsuchi Industrial Development and Support Center. He was shocked when the Space Phenomena Observatory Center (SPOC) SID-1 appeared in an NHK program, and agreed with its UFO/UAP research stance, which led him to this appointment
